Hybrid Rice Research Center

On July 19th, 2021, Chongqing branch of the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center was unveiled in Changhong Village, Shiwan Town, Dazu District. The institution was jointly established by the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center, the Dazu District People's Government of Chongqing, and Hunan Yuanpin Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., and received strong support from Academician Yuan Longping. The first batch of 12 experts to settle in were all appointed by Academician Yuan Longping.

The Chongqing branch center relies on the advantages of Dazu's superior land and climate resources, as well as a good foundation in the grain and oil industry, and is committed to research in aerospace breeding, hybrid rice combination breeding, new variety experimental demonstration, and high-yield cultivation of super hybrid rice.
