I studied in Chongqing for 11 years, and Dazu was my first stop at work.

This is the place where I pursued my dreams and set sail for my career.

I am full of emotions towards this land.

So I have always paid special attention to its development.

In July 2018, the party and government leaders of Dazu District visited Yuan Longping at the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center in Changsha, Hunan. When Yuan Longping heard that in the 90s of the last century, "regenerative rice", "double thousand fields" and "water box wheat" were known as "three unique of Dazu", and "double thousand fields" won the first prize of scientific and technological progress of the national agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery harvest plan, he was very happy and gladly accepted the appointment of Dazu as the "general consultant of modern agricultural development". He arranged for Ma Guohui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center, to set up Yuan Longping Chongqing Academician Expert Workstation in Dazu and build Yuan Longping Academician Hybrid Rice Science Exhibition Hall.

On September 16, 2018, at the opening ceremony of the "Chongqing First Colorful Rice Festival" in Shiwan Town, Dazu District, Yuan Longping not only arranged for Yang Yaosong, the secretary of the work, to attend on his behalf and award the "Yuan Longping Chongqing Academician Expert Workstation", but also personally recorded a congratulatory video and sent a congratulatory letter, saying that he would lead the expert team to base himself on Chongqing Dazu and serve the southwest.

In December 2018, in order to encourage the construction of Dazu Shiwan Colorful Pastoral, Yuan Longping presented the title of "Chongqing Longping Colorful Pastoral Scenic Area".

In January 2019, Academician Yuan Longping arranged personnel to donate the seeds of super rice "Super grain 1000" to Shiwan Town, Dazu District for trial planting and success. On August 29 of that year, the Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences organized experts to measure and accept the yield on site, and the average yield per mu of the experimental field reached 903.9 kg - the target mu yield of this variety in the domestic grain advantage base was 1000 kg, and the yield per mu of 903.9 kg could be harvested in the rainy weather environment of that year, which was already a very remarkable achievement. When the news came, Yuan Longping was very pleased, combined with the characteristics of the local soil, and wrote the inscription of "Dazu Selenium Strontium" two days later, which was the first stop of his life.
